How We’re Doing
Since beginning Lean improvements in June 2015,
Student Registration/Enrollment/Unenrollment:
- Finalized standard work/checklist for office managers/school staff to use when enrolling and un-enrolling students to ensure the same process is completed each time.
- Submitted application for a booth at the Iowa State Fair. If accepted, parents will be able to register their students while enjoying a corndog!
- First communication to parents regarding registration for the 2016-17 school year will go out March 24. Monthly communications will follow.
Employee Asset Transfer:
- Survey will be going out to principals to measure how the new electronic transfer process went from their perspective as the customer.
Procurement:
- P-card reconciliation was centralized at 2323 Grand which reduced the workload of several staff members, saving steps and time. With the success seen, the team is looking to the next phase.
- The monthly 10 report in IFAS is being enhanced to show prior periods for an easier monthly review.
AP Disbursement:
- Have you ever lost a receipt while traveling? An app called Smart Receipts is being piloted to allow for electronic collection. If you are interested in testing this next time you travel, please contact Jenny Deeds.
