High School Master Scheduling
What is the Project?
Creating a standardized, student-driven high school master schedule.
Why are we doing it?
To maximize instructional time for students and to ensure equity of instructional minutes within core and extended core. Standardization allows more opportunities for students to take classes outside home school.
What do you expect out of me?
To support/implement the changes, maintain an open mind and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of this process.
What’s in it for me?
Better resources to access a consistent system, allowing for focus to be on instructional leadership and students.

Project Updates
Academic Planning Kaizen
Implementation of Infinite Campus's Multi-Year Academic Planner (MYAP) is full speed ahead. Pilots at Hoover have been successful and conversations have started at the other high schools. MYAP will allow the district to have electronic 4-year academic plans on file for students grades 8-12. And even better news, the Department of Education has approved parent electronic signatures.
Network Mapping
EIDC, Technology, and Research & Data Management team members are currently working to create a map of all data flowing between systems to have as a resource for researching problem issues. The team has realized the critical need for collaboration when any data element is being edited, changed, or deleted as it impacts the logic moving it through the systems.
